The Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty will be sponsoring Faculty Research Retreats for the 2024–25 academic year.

All research that involves human participation is subject to oversight by the University's Institutional Review Board (IRB).

The Office of the Dean of the College and the Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty encourage you to continue conversations with students outside the classroom. We have set aside funding to support several opportunities for student-faculty interaction during the semester.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø continues to support faculty involvement in conference participation and/or attendance. Eligible faculty (described below) are given an allotment of up to $2,250 per year to attend or present at professional meetings.

The rhythm of the academic year provides us with a number of opportunities to come together as a full faculty. In the fall semester, we gather on the first Monday of every month for faculty meetings; in the spring, we shift to the last Monday of the month.

I write with the sad news that John Gallucci, professor of Romance Languages and Literatures passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
