Offering job search assistance, information, and support to a dual-career spouse or partner.
We are committed to recruiting and retaining the very best faculty and staff. Mindful of the fact that top candidates frequently have a spouse or partner who may also be seeking employment, the Office of Equity and Diversity offers informational assistance for couples who face the dual-career challenge. Although there is no guarantee of job placement, our goal is to help the spouse or partner of a recruited faculty or staff member identify suitable career opportunities both at the university and in the upstate New York area.
We are a member of the Upstate New York (HERC). Developed in 2006, it is a collaborative response of member institutions to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Of particular interest is finding effective ways to assist the spouses and partners of faculty and staff to secure area employment.
