ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø

While the majority of students who have accepted their offer of admission intend to enter college in the fall immediately following their admission, some students request to defer their enrollment for one year to take advantage of planned enrichment activity.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø supports these endeavors, but requires students to request, be approved for, and complete the deferred enrollment process to hold their space in the future entering class.

Requesting Deferred Enrollment

  1. To request deferred enrollment, students must first confirm their intent to enroll at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø by the applicable enrollment deadline and submit a $500 enrollment deposit to be eligible to request deferred enrollment.
  2. Students interested in requesting deferred enrollment must contact the Office of Admission. A defer enrollment form will then be added to the student’s applicant portal, and this form must be submitted by June 1. The form includes space for a 500 word explanation for the purpose of the deferred enrollment request. Requests submitted after June 1 will not be accepted.
  3. Upon approval, the student will be required to pay an additional, non-refundable $500 deposit (total $1000 non-refundable deposit) to confirm and finalize their plans to defer their enrollment for one year.

Important Factors in Considering Deferred Enrollment

  • Students requesting deferred enrollment may not matriculate at another institution during the term of their deferral.
  • Deposits made to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø for enrollment are non-refundable.
  • Deferred enrollment decisions are final and may not be changed once granted.
  • Transfer students and students admitted from ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s waitlist are not eligible for deferred enrollment.
