Women’s Track Places Seventh at Patriot League Championships

LEWISBURG, PA. – The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø women’s track and field team placed seventh at the Patriot League Championship this past weekend.  Freshman Danielle Whicher (N.Reading, Mass.) brought home a gold medal in the 5,000 meters setting a new freshman record of 17:27.03.  Whicher was also second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:06.63.

 

Lisa Germain (Queensbury, N.Y.) came in third in the long jump with a mark of 5.34 meters.  Germain also came in fourth in the 60-meter dash in 7.98 seconds.  Shannon O’Hagan (Sarnia, Ont.) tied for second in the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters.  Emily Thompson (Billerica, Mass.) came in seventh in the same event with a mark of 1.50 meters.

 

Nolana Quince (Syracuse, N.Y.) placed sixth in the pentathlon with a total of 3008 points and was eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.94 meters.  The women are back in action on March 6 as they head to the head to the ECAC Championship at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass.
