Back to All Stories

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø encourages students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields of academic endeavor and honors those who achieve distinction in their academic performance. A reception was held earlier this month to congratulate students who won in the 2012-13 academic year.

The includes Charles A. Dana Scholars, who are selected each spring in recognition of superior academic achievement as well as demonstrated leadership in the college community.  This is a significant academic award, perhaps the most significant after Phi Beta Kappa, the honor society founded in 1776 and organized at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø in 1878.

Also honored at the reception were those students named George W. Cobb Fellows for having demonstrated qualities of outstanding leadership and influence among their fellow students.

A separate will be held May 18 as part of commencement weekend for seniors who receive academic awards.
