ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Astronomy Students Operate New Mexico–Based Telescope From the Comfort of Campus

Spending two nights in a row obtaining near-infrared spectra of young stars may constitute unconventional activity to be done by undergraduate students during a Halloween weekend, but some of our astronomy students found it to be a fulfilling experience. The activity was a part of our astronomical techniques class — a required course for all physics-astronomy students — which teaches how to use telescopes to acquire and obtain relevant results from astronomical data.
