Residential LifeHailing from Newark, NJ, Chimebere got her start at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø as a student in 2011, eventually graduating in 2015 with a major in French and a minor in Theater. As a student, she served in many different leadership positions, including the Community Leader role. After taking a post-graduation year working back home in New Jersey, she returned to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø in the fall of 2016 as the Residential Fellow for Hancock Commons in its inaugural year. Chimebere oversaw the Broad Street interest house and Brown Commons communities as an assistant director of residential life from 2017 to 2018. Currently in her 8th year as an assistant director, Chimebere oversees ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s junior and senior residential areas consisting of the Broad Street theme communities, fraternity and sorority houses, Townhouses, Newell Apartments, University Court, and Parker Apartments.
Chimebere hopes to use her experiences at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and her passion for community building to create a residential experience at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø that is inclusive and respectful to the wide variety of its community members, where its community members can live and thrive together, and where they can truly make the most of their time here. When she isn’t in the office, you can find Chimebere at a the dance studios in Ryan Hall, an intergroup dialogue (IGD) event, or at Frank Dining Hall enjoying a delicious dessert — or three.
