Ariel Martino is an Assistant Professor of English at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø where she teaches courses in African American and Caribbean literature. Her work has appeared in Twentieth-Century Literature, CriticismThe Black Scholar, and an edited collection entitled The American Sonnet. She was the recipient of a Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship and earned her PhD from Rutgers University. She is currently at work on a manuscript tentatively titled Governing Aesthetics: Form and Politics in Black Literature of the 1930s.
